The fisihing rods which mostly exist of three parts are called match rod. The rod length lies between 3.60 m to 4.20 m, quite predominantly with top action. By the fact that match rods own especially many rings in comparison to allround rods it is to be used possibly relatively thin strings.
By the fish on the tendon exercised tractive power is distributed with a match rod very efficiently to many small narrow-standing rings. These three qualities, relatively big length, top action and narrow rings have led to a wide spreading of the match rods, especially in "plenty-catch" competitions.
