With carp rods and some other special fishing rods is traditionally the weight throw in the English unit lb / lbs (engl.pound, 1lb = 453.6 grams). The lb specification corresponds to the weight that is necessary to the top of a horizontal rod held exactly at 90 ° to turn down.
